What is animal waste and how should it be disposed of?

The 3 categories of waste of animal origin and the modalities of their disposal are described in the Regulation (EC) no. 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 laying down sanitary norms regarding animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption.

The implementing rules are described in Regulation (EU) no. Commission Regulation (EC) No 142/2011 of 25 February 2011 (implementing Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down health rules for animal by-products and derived products not intended for human consumption and the implementation of Council Directive 97/78 / EC in respect of certain samples and products which are exempt from veterinary checks at the border in accordance with the said Directive).

What is biosecurity?

Biosecurity is the complex of organizational and technical measures that are applied to prevent the introduction, persistence and spread of pathogens, in order to protect animal health and public health.

In order to increase the degree of biosecurity in livestock farms, slaughterhouses or meat processing factories it is mandatory to eliminate animal waste as soon as possible from their generation or storage under their own conditions, until incineration.

In this way, the risk of spreading diseases, pathogens, occurs.

The intensive breeding of animals on farms requires strict control of the biosecurity, in order to avoid the rapid spread of possible diseases with resected mortality (eg swine fever, bird flu).

In the case of the onset of epizootic diseases, it is necessary to locate the outbreak of infection and the immediate elimination of the sick animals / corpses. Incineration of animals with swine flu, bird flu is the only solution that ensures complete neutralization of the pathogen.

IncinerPro solution

Using an IncinerPro environmentally friendly incinerator you can quickly remove animal carcasses (birds, pigs, sheep, cattle, equidae, pets), derived products, confiscated or expired, resulting from activities such as animal husbandry, slaughtering or meat processing.

The IncinerPro range of models covers all situations and particularities of activities related to animal breeding and processing of animal products. Thus, IncinerPro models are included in the following groups of units intended for the ecological disposal of waste of animal origin of large and small capacity:

  • Incinerators with FIX primary combustion chamber

  • Incinerators with ROTARY primary combustion chambe

  • MOBILE incinerators

  • MOBILE incinerators, for URGENT situations

Depending on the average quantity of waste generated and their characteristics, we can offer you the optimal product that corresponds to your requirements, at the best price / quality ratio. To identify it, please contact us.
